Bonnaroo Infinity Princess Leia Lenticular Laminate Design
DESIGN CONCEPT
We were delighted to be asked to design the Bonnaroo Star Wars inspired Infinity lam. Lenticular laminates are a particularly fun design challenge because they have multiple design frames that create an ‘animation’ when you tilt them.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
We first created various pencil sketches of Leia to determine her positioning, then took to the iPad to vectorize the composition in Adobe. We then created the background gradient with cosmos, Death Star and TIE fighter ships overtop, and laid out the storyboard of our lenticular frames. The animation “flips” shows the night sky twinkling, the lasers moving, and Leia winking at the viewer.
